PDR-RACING RULE BOOK
The rules below will be implemented for all race series events in the PDR
server. The rules are
intended to serve as a guideline for all drivers and Administrators to provide
the greatest
realism in a simulation racing environment.
1.
Pacing
Drivers must maintain a time distance within .2 seconds of the car to their
front during the start
and restarts.
2.
Yellow Flags
When a yellow flag comes out, all drivers will RACE BACK,
The leader will slow in turn 2 and line up behind the pace
car. Drivers
failing to gain or maintain proper pace distance will receive a warning. Failing
to comply with a
warning may result in a black flag being awarded.
3.
Lucky Dog Rule
Lucky Dog Rule will be in effect. The first driver a lap down will be identified
as the Lucky
Dog. That driver will wait until told by an Admin that following the first
opportunity to legally
pit to stay low and pass the field, pass the pace car, continue around the track
and line up at
tail end of longest line. The Lucky Dog is allowed to pit if desired. Once the
field takes the
green flag, the Lucky Dog's black flag for passing the pace car will be cleared
and receive one
lap credit. There will be no Lucky Dog provision with 10 or less laps remaining
in a race.
4.
Driver Communication
During races, all drivers will be on PDR’s designated teamspeak. Although
drivers are not
required to speak, they must be present to hear and instructions given by Admins.
Game chat
should be limited to race issues only.
Teamspeak chat also should be limited to race issues, in order for drivers to
hear their spotters.
Drivers running with teammates, using whisper on teamspeak is recommended to
communicate.
5. Blocking and Lap Cars
As in real racing, blocking is allowed. It is the responsibility of the passing
driver to safely
pass the lead car or a lap car. If the passing car has a fender under the car it
is passing the other car will
give way or chance a black flag for
unsafe driving. Lap cars not racing for position should pick and
hold a line in
sufficient time before a faster car or the field approaches them.
PDR wants all who race to be able to race . Outside of the rules
mentioned here, the
Admins will not clear any black flags. Therefore, if a driver receives a black
flag for any
violation, the penalty must be served.
Provisional Points and Substitute Drivers
There is none, to get points you must start race and run 1 green lap.
During the race, Admin’s decisions are not to be disputed. The Admins have been
instructed to
eject any racer that does not follow these rules.
