Tip's and Tricks

 |
Here are some Tip's and Tricks to help you keep out of
trouble on and off the track. I have been racing this game when it was NASCAR 99
and had all the the game's that fallowed, now I know there is better race
driver's out there and they are good but over the years you start to pick up on
things that helps me stay out of trouble and I would like to share them with
you. You may not agree with some and you may find some thing that you never
thought of. All this is-is to make a better racing experience, less Yellow's,
Wrecks and fighting about how's fault it was.
|
 |
If you have some thing you would like to add that may
help our racing experience please go to the Forum's and place your idea and I
will add the post and your user name here. Now lets be real, don't tell us how
to race just tell us what you think will make it more fun and "safe". If your
post is just plane out lame it will not be posted here sorry.

Yellow
Flag Races
I wish all server's in-forest
these rule
 |
When yellow's come out (PDR Server) race to the Finish
Line but DON'T let off the gas or put your brakes on tell the back stretch. You
can pass the pace car and the driver in front as long as you don't cross the
Finish Line before they do. WHY NOT LET OFF? If two driver's are racing to the
line they don't want to let up off the gas tell they cross the line and if you
let up to soon what do you think is going to happen? one or both are going to
slam into the back of >YOU<.
|
 |
Stager the line during yellow flag pacing this allows
every one the chance to slow or stop before slamming into the back of another
driver. I am guilty of this and so are you right? when you have one lap before
going green, line back up.

All Out Racing
 |
Race as hard as you can keep in line and work to gather and go for the WIN!!
This is a fine line between telling you how to drive and making us a better
driver but here I go, when racing a tight line with two or more driver's you
have to remember the 1st car is slower, so 2, 3 and/or more driver's are
thinking #1 is checking up NO you are faster so take that into account and get
ready. Have you ever seen a train take off and stop? even know they are
connected the last car dose not take off at the same time as the locomotive it
may take a few secants for the last car to begin moving same when it is slowing
to a stop. The same thing is happening when racing in a tight line so at the
beginning of a turn the locomotive (Driver #1) is slowing and the last car
(Driver #2, act) is still moving. keep this in mind when drafting.

Drafting
 |
Drafting is a blast the more car's the faster the racing,
boy the speed's they can get and there is nothing like drafting with some good
driver's for me that's what it's all about not the win just some good old gash
darn driving.
|
 |
Now to the point, bump drafting on the
straits is great but for some reason in the turn's it don't seem to work so GET
OFF MY BUMPER!. I know sounds ruff but being that close in the turn will not
make you any faster it will just get you into a wreck. Suggestion. If your
wanting to pass the driver back off a little in the straits hammer it before the
turn by the time you catch the car you may be coming out of the turn and can
pass them "safely", all in all just drive smarter.

Yellow's
 |
When catching up to the pace line after pitting or recovering from a wreck don't
try to race to the pace line your position is posted just watch your F2 and slow
sooner. Pace speed is 70 at Daytona and if you come out of the pits and get up
to 95-100 mph. you will catch the pace line before the finish line there is no
need to go 170 mph. and always allow for warp.
